The pendant is consists of a daisy with two butterflies suspended from the petals. There is a green pear shaped bead with other small beads to give the pendant a chunky feel. All metal components are nickel and lead free. Please contact me via comments if you would like one of these as a kit.

We've had a Birthday
Well a double birthday, our twins turned seven years old last week! Honestly, where does the time go? This year we decided that we would have a jewellery making party. These are the two bracelets my girls made:
It was so lovely to see their friends arrive in their party dresses all excited about what we would be making. This design was great, as it had all sorts of colours so there was no arguing about who would have which colour. They didn't all grasp the concept of the bead caps but I think creative freedom can only be a good thing so if they didn't want (or forgot) the bead caps that was fine.
We played the usual pass the parcel and musical statues etc then it was time for cake : I had a great time the Friday before the party baking up a storm in the kitchen. We had plain sponge cupcakes which I topped with lemon icing and decorated with flower sprinkles. There were also some chocolate muffins, some topped with a blueblerry cream and some covered with a chocolate fondant glaze - yummy. (Sorry about the picture, it has been so dark, we used a flash but this is the best we could come up with)
There were a few beads left at the end so I had a play and came up with this
I love this, it is so colourful, it really appeals to my inner-child. I think I might make a little range from these beads.
I have agreed the next timetable for my workshops so now I need to get working on the samples to put in the shop. I will post a few pics soon.
Enjoy your Friday!

Happy New Year
This is just a quick note to say 'hi'. We moved house and then it was Christmas, it has been so busy around here that I haven't taken time to check in.
The house is great but is lacking a workshop. I have organised a space so now all I have to do is book dad in to come and drill some holes and I can get melting glass again - can't wait!
Happy new year to one and all, I hope 2011 is healthy, happy and prosperous.
